What: BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport and local leaders will greet Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Commissioner Jacqie McWilliams with a pep rally ahead of the 2024 CIAA Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournament, which will be held in Baltimore next week, February 26 – March 2.

BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport Welcomes BermudAir

New International Service to Bermuda Set to Start on March 18

BermudAir today announced that it would add service between Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport. BermudAir will offer three weekly roundtrip flights on the new route, starting March 18.

BWI Marshall Airport will become the fourth U.S. destination for BermudAir, which first started service in September 2023. BermudAir is the flagship airline for Bermuda, offering flights on Embraer E175 aircraft.

The Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) is the owner and operator of BWI Marshall Airport and Martin State Airport.

We are actively seeking opportunities to develop the future workforce, through dynamic and engaging internship opportunities. The MAA Internship Program equips college students with knowledge of the transportation and aviation industries, while simultaneously providing insight into MAA’s contributions to the State of Maryland.

Prior participants have represented not only colleges and universities from across our region, but even from several states away.

Requirements include:

  • Must currently be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university
  • Major in Aviation, Engineering, Architecture, Information Technology, Finance, Communications, Marketing, Environmental Services, Public Administration, Business Administration or Business Management
  • GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Ability to complete and pass all pre-employment screenings
  • Submission of college/university transcripts, resume, and personal statement

  • January 15 – February 12, 2024: Applications Accepted for Summer 2024
  • February 13 – March 12, 2024: MAA Review Process
  • March 14 – April 11, 2024: Interview and Selection
  • April 11 – May 16, 2024: Pre-Employment
  • May 29 – August 7, 2024: Internship
