Contour to Resume Flights to Macon, Georgia on June 9

April 9, 2026 – Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport today welcomed the announcement that Contour Airlines plans to start service on June 9. Contour will operate 10 weekly roundtrip flights between BWI Marshall and Middle Georgia Regional Airport.

“We are excited to renew our partnership and welcome back Contour,” said Shannetta Griffin, Executive Director/CEO of BWI Marshall Airport. “The airline’s return is a direct response to the travel needs of our shared passengers. The service offers additional efficient travel options for both business and leisure customers.”

According to Contour Airlines, the return to BWI Marshall Airport marks a highly anticipated move for the Macon community, reconnecting travelers with a popular and convenient gateway to the Mid-Atlantic region. Contour previously operated service between BWI Marshall and Macon from August 2017 to April 2025.

The new Contour service will operate daily, with additional frequencies on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Airport to Provide Free Assistive Technology from Towson-Based ReBokeh

April 8, 2026 – Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI Marshall) is expanding its accessibility efforts through use of services provided by Towson-based ReBokeh® Vision Technologies. The innovative technology provides free, unlimited access to the company’s mobile application to those traveling through the airport. The assistive technology empowers travelers to customize how they see the airport environment in real time. BWI Marshall is the second airport worldwide, and the first in the Mid-Atlantic, to offer ReBokeh’s technology to support safer, more independent air travel.

ReBokeh is designed by and intended for the low-vision community. The technology is built to empower the 90% of blind and low-vision individuals who retain some functional sight. It works by allowing users to leverage the live camera feed from their mobile devices with overlaid, customized filters that adjust aspects like contrast, color hue, zoom and lighting.

At BWI Marshall, travelers with low vision can use ReBokeh to read gate and wayfinding signs, view arrival and departure boards, and locate restaurants, shops, and lounges. ReBokeh AI also supports multiple languages and automatically aligns with a user’s device settings, enabling real-time translation of signage, on-screen information, and the surrounding environment.
