Why Join?

Founded in 1985, The BWI Business Partnership is an award-winning organization in the BWI Region comprised of a diverse group of nearly 200 local and regional businesses; government agencies; educational and healthcare institutions; non-profits; and elected officials.

These members have come together to promote and strive towards a thriving regional economy and workforce while supporting the transportation efforts necessary for the growth of each. Uniquely, we encompass members from both the public and private sector, working together for common solutions to regional issues.

The Partnership brings cohesion to the business community in the region, creating a framework to address challenges, especially around the rapidly growing economic generators of BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, the Arundel Mills commercial and entertainment district, and the Fort Meade/NSA campus.

We actively support advancements in transportation, growth at BWI Marshall Airport, key regional roadway improvements, and enhancements to state and local transit systems in order to improve accessibility to employment centers in the region. We also provide services in the form of grant-funded local shuttles, facilitating rideshare and vanpool opportunities, and commuter assistance programs.

Joining is simple.  After you complete the application online you will hear from the staff with information on your organization’s annual dues. Membership dues are based on industry factors and include a specific number of reserved seats at the Partnership Signature Breakfast Series.

Value Proposition

• Association with upwards of 200 businesses; government agencies; educational, health care, and cultural institutions; nonprofits; and elected officials

• Valuable networking opportunities to promote your organization to an audience that includes regional thought leaders and decision-makers who influence the economic vitality of the region.

• Significant opportunities to be involved in addressing the region’s economic growth and transportation challenges.

Virtual Speakers' Series -- NEW in 2020!

This new educational series, offered in lieu of the Signature Breakfast Series, provides members with access to elected officials and leaders of industry throughout the country on a monthly basis via webinar. Transportation Think Tank (T3) Series

A recurring monthly community forum, offered virtually or in-person, connecting businesses and the community with transportation-focused partners, and providing a platform for the education and dissemination of information as it relates to upcoming, current, and ongoing transportation initiatives, innovations, and policies.

Roundtables & Small Groups

Partnership members engage in a variety of means, including our Young Professionals Group for developing leaders, our monthly Members-Only Virtual Roundtables (NEW!), and an upcoming series of Women's Leadership Forums. These opportunities are offered virtually and/or in-person.
