Future of Mobility: Bold Ideas for the Capital Region

On March 15, the Partnership's Chairman of the Board, Sam Minnitte (WSP), joined the Greater Washington Partnership for the Future of Mobility: Bold Ideas for the Capital Region. Former US Department of Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood gave the opening remarks at the event, and stated the importance of Metro to the region’s economy and pressed Maryland, Virginia, and Washington to fully fund the transit system. He also addressed Amazon’s HQ2 selection and the need for a national commitment to infrastructure.
